Planning a Wedding or a Civil Union ?
Here's all the information you need
A Connecticut marriage or civil union license can be obtained in the Connecticut town of residence of either party, but it is strongly recommended to get the license in the town in which the ceremony will be performed. The license is only valid for 65 days from the date of issue and there is NO blood test required. The application process is actually very simple. There is no waiting period but both parties must appear in person to apply. Please bring with you the following
What to Bring 
Driver’s license with current address and photo
****The address presented on the marriage/civil union application must be the address on your I.D.****
$40.00 cost by cash or check made payable to Town Clerk (this fee includes one certified copy)
And that’s it !
