Town of Old Saybrook, CT - Board of Selectmen Minutes 1/29/2009

I.	CALL TO ORDER – First Selectman Pace called the meeting to order at 7:45 PM
II.	COMMENTS FROM THE PUBLIC – None present
III.	COMMENTS FROM THE SELECTMEN – None at this time
IV.	BUSINESS BEFORE THE BOARD Discuss and act on Katharine Hepburn Cultural Arts Center Operation Agreement. First Selectman Michael Pace stated that further discussion was needed with the Town Attorney Michael Cronin on comments and questions raised at the Town Meeting. Further clarifying language would also have to be added. Selectman Velma Thomas stated she agreed further clarification was needed on several points and asked for additions to Schedule C items 2, 3 & 5 to include language that would encompass other genre of dance and music. Selectman William Peace also asked for clarification of on Page 3, Item 5, Paragraph 4 regarding insurance to be obtained by the Center. Appointments. Water Pollution Control Authority. Alternate position. This is a 2-year term due to expire 12/2010. First Selectman Michael Pace stated Michael Evangilisti has asked to remain in this position. PEACE/THOMAS Motion to appoint Michael Evangilisti to the alternate position; this is a 2-year term due to expire 12/2010. MOTION CARRIED UNANIMOUSLY
