Reference Information Services
An experienced staff is available to help you find information on any topic. Acton’s reference collection included many basic works such as dictionaries and encyclopedias as well as specialized information in consumer ratings, investments, education, health care and much more. Acton’s Reference Service also offers Reader’s Advisory Service where the Reference Librarian can assist you with the question “What can I read next?” The Reference Librarian can assist you with searching the Internet for information on one of the 10 reference computers, electronic catalog, or just using the word processors.
Reserve Requests
Acton can reserve a book that you want but is not on the shelf. You will receive a telephone call when it is ready for you. Acton will also interlibrary loan a title if it does not own it and it is available elsewhere. You may request a title by sending a request via e-mail to jcrozier@actonlibrary.org
Homebound Service
This service is available to all patrons unable to visit the Library temporarily or on a long term basis. Just call the Library at 395-3184 to set up home delivery.
